How about making a pool with that built into it?

That doesn't sound as stupid as I thought it would...

 

according to my knowledge of electronics, if the active wire shorted to the water, they would be safe provided
they didn't stand with one leg in and out of the pool.
if both wires short, the current will simply pass through the water, but not the fools.
if the ground shorts, then you have a problem with the other appliances in the house, but you have it there
for safety.

 

its still a pretty large risk to take.. its hard to get out of a pool like that without having one leg in water, and one earthed

didnt think about how it wouldnt realy be dangerous if more than one wire was in water, i still would rather not try it
